Attorney
Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jordan Beard received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and World Affairs from the University of Tampa in 2008 and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2011.
Jordan’s passion for law was evident during his time at law school, where he excelled in moot court competitions, reaching the quarterfinals in a national competition and securing first place in an intra-school mediation competition. He also made the Dean’s List during his third year and was an active member of various student organizations, including the Cordell Hull Speaker’s Forum.
Jordan’s dad is a retired 2-star Major General in the U.S. Army, who is/was an attorney in his civilian life working at the public defender’s office and state attorneys office for 20+ years. His dad and grandfather all went to Cumberland School of Law as well.
Before joining The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A., Jordan built a robust legal career, gaining extensive experience in criminal and civil law. He spent over a decade as an Assistant Public Defender, handling more than 4,000 cases, including juvenile, misdemeanor, felony, and homicide matters. His dedication to justice has been demonstrated in significant cases, such as obtaining a not-guilty verdict for a terminally ill client facing life in prison and leveraging groundbreaking legal precedents to dismiss felony charges.
Jordan also has experience advocating for employees in labor and employment cases, representing clients in discrimination and wrongful termination matters. This diverse background equips him with the skills and tenacity needed to pursue justice for his clients.
Currently, Jordan focuses on representing personal injury victims at The Law Offices of Ron Sholes, P.A., ensuring that those injured due to negligence receive the representation they deserve. He handles a broad range of cases and prides himself on his ability to zealously advocate for his clients, holding parties accountable for their actions.
Jordan is board certified in criminal trial law and is a member of the Florida Bar. His commitment to justice extends beyond the courtroom, as he remains active in community efforts and professional organizations.
